COMMON FIRES
Canadian songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Caleb McAlpine has performed music under the name 'Common Fires' since 2017. Pairing his arrangements with vocalist Ash Foster since 2022, Common Fires’ material balances pyrotechnical music with tender minimalism.
As a recording musician and performer, McAlpine can most commonly be sighted as part of the collaborative indie-psych band 'nightshades', with which he has played over 100+ shows and released 3 full-length records.
As Common Fires, McAlpine has released two full-length records (Great Pink Heron, Teens), three EPs (Seventeen, Eighteen, Ninenteen), and will be releasing his third album 'Class Act' in autumn of 2026.
